Block Schedule

Follow

The Block Schedule is a great to view a vehicle/block's upcoming schedule and ETAs.  To access the Block Schedule, select a vehicle and click "View/Adjust Schedule".  A screenshot below shows an example of the data included.

Toggle open a trip to see the upcoming stops.  On the left of a stop you will see the both its scheduled time and the predicted time.  We show real-time predictions as far out as they are available in bold.  Timepoints are denoted with an asterisk (*).  The schedule data defaults to showing scheduled departures when available and scheduled arrivals when not.

In the case where service has been adjusted, Adjustments will be shown inline (such as the detour above) to denote any added stops, removed stops, cancelled trips and/or changes to the route shape.

Adjust service: cancel trips and modify departure times

Rather than switching between viewing the schedule and cancelling trips, it is now possible to do everything in one place!  Simply find the trip(s) you want to cancel under "Active & Upcoming Trips" and click the cancel buttons to the right of each trip.  To cancel all trips on the block, click the cancel button to the right of the "Active & Upcoming Trips" heading.

Currently, cancelling a Block is limited to the current or imminent block schedule from within the Dashboard. It's not possible to cancel a block for tomorrow, for example. We are actively working on this functionality, and it should be available shortly. In the meantime, you can further schedule a cancellation by using the Swiftly API for Service Adjustments

Swiftly supports partial trips at the beginning or end of a trip.  To cancel the beginning of a trip, drill into a trip and select the stop where you want to begin the trip from the 3 dot menu.  Ending a trip early can be done using the same workflow but selecting where to end a trip.

Once a trip cancellation has been created, the block schedule will update to indicate which stops will be skipped.

To modify the departure time of a stop, find the stop time you want to adjust in the Schedule and then select “modify departure time" from the three dot menu.
